Thanks for the help with CB750K5 mystery part 1. I found this one with the kickstarter parts. It looks like a cylinder alignment bushing but it's shorter. 12mm. diameter, 14mm long. Can y'all identify?
One other question. Is there a right way to install the inside gear on the countershaft? The hub is almost flush on one side and slightly recessed on the other. It's the bottom gear in the photo.

I figured it out. I'm using K3 cylinders for my K5 project. The K5 cylinders use 8 dowels/o-rings around the cylinder studs, whereas the K3 doesn't have them. The cylinder dowels are the same diameter as the case dowels, but shorter.
