Is this the same meet we go to? If so:

Looks like he bested the record 126.455 by running 131.713. Not sure what class A-VG is? Where's Dennis? I believe the old record was set by Mr Honda (real name) from Japan on a CB750 who had 0.5 over with a 392 stock head, stock size valves, no serious port work and a Yoshi Daytona cam all witnessed as I instructed them how to tear down the engine. Ripe to get bested with some head work.

It wax today I believe, World Finals..
Not clear wether the car's are there.. ? There is usually a few events after Bike week end of August. One I think the Shootout is an invite only event..

The bike ran in Special construction - Vintage Engine...gas.

I think there are only FIM and SCTA records.
I am thinking this bike is maybe running same class as the fellow I helped in teardown..Preacher I think they called him..

It actually is a good experience and you meet the others nearby.. the guy with the 305 , rides it to work, set a record. The girl with the 160 or 175.. young,, a bit low on experience.. worked track security at night to pay her way., low budget that works.. but her work habits .. crude.. tried to point out a few things to help.. and be less harmnful to her parts. .. but i think it just made her pissy ... if you are going to use a screw driver to knock apart engine pieces that must seal... yeah ...I will say something...

The bike looks like its well built with all the trick stuff on, BUT, the rider is a big big boy, I would estimate 10mph too big. Maybe he should let the intrepid Mr. Honda ride it to run 150Mph which is the popular CB 750 barrier.

The running sheets has him entered as a 750, wonder if it is ? the exhaust diameter's etc suits big bore ?

He's still 1+ mph below Old Scrambler. Keep watching Frank. Have you looked at the rulebook for A-VG?

OOOOHHHH I just read your post Frank 1,220cc big bore kit. Thats strange how do they call it a 750cc in running sheet when its a 1,200 + cc, different rules to Aust Land speed

His big frame won't make much difference with that sort of torque, should get his 150 mph without too much trouble, feel sorry for the guys with 750 engines.

Yeah Johno, Frank has me confused about that too. 1220cc in the 750 class? Where did that come from? That wouldn't work on teardown. Dennis is pulling those numbers at 62mm.

I'm in Spirit Lake, Idaho.........just found the internet after camping with the RV in NW Montana. I think the bike # is 1220........The swing-arm length probably puts the bike in the special-construction..........don't know about Vintage at this meet. If he ran a 148 or better he beats me.........but his motor is likely not a 750cc.

148 .59 I think. .. going about as fast as you with 50 % more displacement, is not making you look bad..

That bike Tim built has a straight port big spigot head and 40mm Lectron carbs. Its got oversized seats installed for big valves. A stroker crank, Carillo rods, had a lockup cluth too.

A facebook pic shows the bike as MG-1350 which puts the Old Bike Barn entry in the modified gas 1350cc class..........looks like Lectrons under a K5-6 tank. I don't know his final or best speed, but I would think he should be going a bit faster even with the rider's size and street-bike trim.

I'm still happy but working on getting past 150-mph

Dennis, have you estimated how much extra horsepower you need to get past the 150mph mark?? We discussed a power adder last November. Are you still interested pursuing this avenue??

Send me a PM with info for 762 motor and any extra requirement for a big-bore...........I have the top-end apart to install some welded rockers with custom adjuster pads that can not come out once installed.
