Topic: 18 inch rear wheel size for a cafe racer

I have a 1978 cb750k that im in the process of turning into a cafe racer, i want to change the rear wheel to a 18 inch  , im going to buy a new rim and just lace in my 78 hub assembly can anyone recommend the width of rim that will be best suited or if someone has some recommendations, any help would be much appreciated

Really depends on what width tire you want to run.  You'll want a 3.00" wide rim for a 130 or 140 wide tire.  If you want an old school look with a narrower tire a 2.15 will work.

I think 100/90  is optimal,  don't go wider than 110. A wide front tire doesn't improve handling.

I have that same mix of sizes with my Lester's.  I'm running 90/90X19 front and 110/90X18 on the rear.
