Pizza is perfect, if too big a doggy bag home  ;)
A slice of pizza or two tasty in the morning! ;D

I like the Italian style. Not to thick bottom.

I remembered a business trip to Milan 17 years ago when I had decided to not eat pizza or pasta, something different this time.
That plan failef first evening when my Italian colleague and people from the customer went to an Italian Restaurant. All ordered Pizza, so I followed up with a Quattro Stagioni that always work fine.

Soo tasty! Done the right way, ingridients and oven.

Another trip, 2 hours drive east from Naples I could enjoy very tasty pasta at lunch.
My Italian colleague drove his car, so red wine for me. ;D Enough to be OK after 4-5 hours when I drove my rental car back to my hotel.

If a pizza should be named CB750... How should it look like? ;D

Terry..... those kits must have been from a few years ago! Everything I’ve sourced lately looks like the ones I “punched”. As you suggested, they work just fine.....

I recently bought the CB750K0 kit from Keyster which contains the correct seals

How did those kits work out? I have not had good luck with Keyster. I bought kits from Vintagcb750.com.
They are “Made in Japan” by Tour Max. Excellent quality and the bike seems to run extremely well on them. Vintagecb’s part number 48-1739.

I retained the original jets and needles, therefore only using the Keyster gaskets, seals and clips and they all fit fine.

Smart..... I was missing parts so decided to use everything. Seems to run very well.

Yeah that sucks John, on the form I had to fill out at my end I said that the items were being returned to you, which should add weight to your argument that you just “loaned” them to me, which in essence is pretty much what happened anyway. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Thanks Per, we never got to Italy in 1974. We’d booked train tickets to go from Paris to Rome, but got on the wring train and ended up in Lourdes. The train we were booked on was blown up by the “Red Brigades” Italian terrorist organisation in a tunnel and everyone in the carriage we were meant to be in were killed. My folks decided we’d do Italy next time around....... ;D

So another sunny Saturday, another 135 mile ride, I think I'm up to ride #12 for 2021, when's Frank gonna start his "21 rides in 2021" thread? By the way things are going, I'll have done my 21 rides on the K0 by Easter? Or maybe not. Anyway, the bike just flew again, filled it with Shell 98 RON "V Power" and it just loves it, a couple of young guys in V8 utes (sedan sized pick up trucks) made the mistake of thinking they could walk away from the old man on the old bike, and were "schooled" for their ignorance. I did crank up the preload a couple of notches on my Ebay rear shocks and they didn't bottom out over some of the bigger potholes, so they were 100 bucks well spent.

It might be 51 years old, but it's no slouch. I decided to take a detour up a dirt road, and was surprised at how well it handled on loose dirt, the wide bars and skinny tyres made for a sure footed ride.

Anyway, 1686 trouble free miles in barely 3 months, I can't complain about that. I think I'll drop the oil and filter again at the 2000 mile mark, just to make sure it's squeaky clean inside. So far, so good! ;D

Hmmmnn, I just made a loaf of sourdough bread, and the aroma is intoxicating. I am intoxicated as I type this, so I might need to chop off a slab and have a late snack. ;D

Just caught up on the thread, I have maxed out the posts per page cpunt in my setup to do 50 posts per page, loading pages like that isn't an issue like it used to be with slow internet days. 3G a bit but far less an issue with 4G and with a 5G tower across the street mobile data is fast on my 4G phone. But my phone uses my wifi at home and I have very fast broadband cable.
Missed what difficulty John is having with his post... Presumably something with customs. Hope it resolves in your favor.

Here in Southern AZ and Tucson starting at Broadway or is it Speedway we have 23 miles via I19 all the way to Nogales and the Mexican border of some really tasty authentic Mexican food from all regions of Mexico. Unfortunately some of the smaller places folded during the pandemic restrictions. Restaurants have been hard hit with only allowing every other table to be occupied many quit going to restaurants...as appropriate because enclosed places you are going maskless are higher risk places of the virus transmission.
Americans have done a piss poor job of obeying restrictions and following recommended precautions. Many paid their foolhardy ignorance or disregard  with their lives or with a nasty case of the virus and huge bills or even long term health issues in some cases from complications of the virus and their body's reaction to it or underlying health issues or genetic predisposition thst emerged in the body's weakened state.

Terry glad you are getting some good rides in. I need to order some mesh riding pants as the textile riding pants, black of course, get too warm after we pass 85 and beyond. I often would have a pair of canvas shorts on beneath them so I could just strip them off and secure them to the bike rather than taking a change of clothes and then finding some place to change into street clothing.  I don't wear long pants other than a pair of khakis when temps go above 85 even in dry temps. Khahis are tolerable if you have a cold drink but 95 and above until you pass 100 is unpleasant in monsoon humidity, but we didn't have monsoon last year and are in something beyond extreme drought and we had ZERO rainfall in all of February. Hope things change and we start seeing some rain, we need it badly...animals are starting to suffer from it, even the cactus are looking lean. They plump up when we have water storing the water inside their flesh.
David- back in the desert SW!

Participating  is voluntary, do so if you like or don't.
Its up to whoever feels like Participating.
My self, I am in NO POSITION  to ride right now, been without a bike since start of Sept, and have not touched the bike, it needs work.  Hopefully  that changes soon..

Thanks guys, It's been a really easy bike build, and the more miles I do, the better it is, considering the engine was built from a bare set of cases, and used cylinder block from one Ebay seller, a head from another, a crank from another, gearbox parts from Eric, and other bits and pieces I had out in my garage, it's all working very well.

I do feel a bit guilty walking past all my other bikes to jump on the old red beast and go riding, so I will need to start riding them more, plus once I've got my K2 bitsa engine back together after (fingers crossed) it's final rebuild, I want to do a couple of 100 milers on it before I had the keys over to it's new owner. I'm just waiting for the truck to arrive with my 1969 Yamaha YSD6 so I can sneak it down the driveway in anticipation of another build. Should be fun. ;D

An old good running restored CB750 is fun to ride. The sound can bring old since long (35-40 years) forgotten memories to my mind! ;)

I often ask myself during the rides what use I can have of a modern multipowered bike that quickly reach 250 km/h and just continue.......

The fun roads with beautiful views I ride on will not allow that speed. On some parts is 160 km/h possible which my K2 enter quick enough, my K6 even quicker with less need of gearing down.
(Some straights +190 when I could not release the K6 throttle in time ;D )

Thoughts about wild animals and dizzy car drivers usually make me to release to a more relaxing 70-100km/h.

On the country side can a tractor with a wide plow and similar wide murder tool suddenly pop-up behind next bend. Or spread chunks of clay on the road.
Typical time to be extra careful is spring and fall. Plus late summer early fall during the harvest.

I like the upright sitting position to enjoy the sceneries better.

A few top speed tests for fun to verify everything is properly adjusted.

Even if one of my CB750's will run beyond 200km/h rather quick, the normal cruising rides will be within 70-120km/h with occasional 160km/h.

Terry - I’ve not been on the US forum for a while, and this thread has absolutely made my day. It's so easy to get caught up in the pursuit of perfection on some of these restorations (I'm probably one of the worst culprits), but your approach, pragmatism and skill is superb to see / read about. I love how the bike has come together and you’ve definitely inspired me to build a K0 Redneck special out of the pile of K0 parts I’ve got lying around here. Keep the posts coming...it’s been an awesome read so far. James

Yoweee another in the making! It's been fun reading up on the k0 and k2 the past few weeks. You have me itching to get back to my 2 projects. A 74 k4 in CA for a friend that just past away a couple weeks ago that we started a year ago. He ran out of money to finish it last summer with work cuts.
And a 76 k6 that I started tearing down needing a complete rebuild that was my dad's and my oldest brother's(awaiting my return to NH. I didn't get back to NH last year as I usually do. This winter I've been in NV awaiting my newest granddaughter born a week ago. Now gas prices have risen because of the new administration in power.....

Thanks Per, as much as I love riding my K0 modern bikes are fantastic too, they handle much better, stop way quicker, and accelerate much faster. You don't need to ride them at warp speed to enjoy them, but if I was riding at 200 KPH and I had to stop or swerve in an emergency situation, I'd much rather be doing it on a modern bike with 4 or 6 piston twin calipers as opposed to shiny stainless steel CB750 units that seem to go faster when you apply the wimpy single puck brake at speed in the wet, which is another reason that I'll be riding my more modern bikes as our weather turns cooler.

Both of my Triumph Rocket III's have "Upright" sitting positions, but will do 0-100 KPH in under 3 seconds, so fantastic for overtaking long lines of cars, and have great brakes (no ABS) and the last ride I did with Spotty was great fun, he was on my (now ex) FJR1300 with similar BHP, so we could ride at an enjoyable pace, and just whip around cars full of rubber-neckers.

Having said that, I'm surprised at how good the front brake on the K0 is? It is probably the best brake I've had on a CB750 and I don't know why, I put a rebuild kit in the OEM MC, am using 50 year old rubber lines, a new piston seal and new organic pads, but it feels really good? Not as good obviously as any of my modern bikes, but it pulls up really well. I wonder if they changed the material that they made the K0 disc rotors from when they went to the K1 and later rotors? I can't think of any other reason why it stops so well?

Anyway, I need to go out and put my K2 bitsa engine together, as I want to take it for a couple of shakedown rides before I pass it on to Dion as part of the Harley trade. Dion is going to repaint the bike for me as he has to remove the 1 percenter club stuff anyway, so it's going from satin black to gloss black, so should look nice. ;D

I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

James

Thanks James, I do appreciate the compliments. I might have to have a chat to you about some parts I'll be needing shorty, to build another Redneck K0, it seems that another one has come into my life quite unexpectantly......... ;D

Thanks mate, isn't starting a new project exciting? Sometimes the build is more enjoyable than the finished product, but in the case of the K0, it's been a joy from start to finish! Good luck with your projects mate, and make sure you start a build thread, the encouragement from everyone here has really helped me keep moving forward when I've occasionally felt like forgetting about it, like my horrible Suzuki T350 mess........ ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

Which pads do you use, Terry?
My K2 and K6 have cheap DSS pads.
My K6 wirh dual brakes works fine. Good enough for sudden surprises in 170km/h. (Tested ;D )

But my K2 with single has more of an acceleration damper in higher speeds.
Better pads can hopefully help.

Thanks Per, I think they were no-name ones from Ebay, but they work great. I'll go back thru my purchase history and post a pic. I just paid for another K0/K2 "bitsa" (US import) and it should arrive in a couple of days time. It's a handsome beast....... ;D

I've tried to start several but I get it all written out and hit send and it gets trashed because it won't take the pictures from my phone. I get the too big picture message and it looses the content of the message instead of saving it. I'm just too frustrated with the forum picture size thing, I don't have "techie" in me to resize my pictures, my phone is my only computer and I'm not into adding more apps to it to try to learn how to "resize" the pictures or host pictures. It's the one sore spot this forum has to me. I've not had this problem with other forums I belong to. It's very antiquated that it hasn't been updated to accept pictures from phones.

Yep, I have the same issue, so I started a Flickr account and I upload all my pics to Flickr and it resizes them to suit Glenn's size limits. Because I'm "Working from Home" (and loving it....) my old laptop died so I bought another one (and will claim it on my tax) so I can edit pics because I find it rally annoying when I take a pic and my phone automatically rotates it to 45 degrees from the original shot? But anyway, jump on to Flickr, if your not that avid a photographer it's free. ;D
