Thanksgiving
« on: November 25, 2020, 03:33:24 PM »
I know not everyone here lives in the US or does the Turkey day deal but I'm thankful for my Union brothers that have paid my pension plan to over 105% funded so I get 13 monthly checks this year and I'm thankful my friends and family are still all relatively healthy although 50% of them got exposed recently. And last but not least all of you fine gentlemen, ladies  and/or grumpy old farts. You will need to decide for yourself which category you fall in to.
If I've said this before, I just turned 68 I'm allowed to forget.
I'm smoking a turkey tomorrow and hoping my family will all come pick some up to take home even if it's outside, masked and/or a drive up.

Don..... best wishes from Canada. Our (earlier) Thanksgiving got cancelled when my grandkids had a last minute Covid scare at their school. No harm, but we have been super cautious ever since! Stay positive/ test negative! Happy Thanksgiving! John D.

We are having an outdoor Thanksgiving here on Maui with a few friends, smoking a turkey in the back yard. Convenient that here it does not get cold.
Everyone stay safe, this is a great forum.

grcamna2, we moved here from Davis, we lived in the Wildhorse subdivision, I hope all is well in Davis, nice little town, we used to call it the Republic of Davis!! I didn't have my 73 K3 750 then or we may have met up somewhere.
Happy Thanksgiving all.

We're having a small turkey and some fixings here in Mexico City, just my wife, newborn Sebastian and me -- but will be reaching out to family in the States and elsewhere, and skype-ing with the wife's family here. Despite being a US holiday, Mexicans are happy to join in a celebration especially if there is food involved. Stay safe everyone.

We did a 4 way facetime call. It was odd, no one had a lot to talk about at first. It ended up going a half hour because no one wanted to be the one to say goodbye. The Grandkids carried the phones around, we saw the new cat and old dogs.  The one with covid 19 symptoms challenged her sister to a hot sauce eating contest it was a tie. She has no sense of taste, cheater. They have another week of isolation. We talked about a new fuel pump install in a truck and the rotten fuel line broke off in the quick connecter. They shot up the target board I made for them, making the best of quarrantine in the country.
