Gasket sealers and dressings
« on: October 14, 2020, 09:26:07 AM »
I read the leak-free top end thread, and I'm wondering what are y'alls thoughts on using Permatex copper spray on a multi-layer head gasket and jug bottom gasket?

Should I use Honda Bond on the oil pan? How about the valve cover?

The oil pan should just have the dry gasket - you may want to remove it to check the pickup screen or pull the oil pump, and sealant will. Valve cover should seal with its gasket/o-ring alone.
Sealing spray should be fine on the barrel and head gaskets.

Thanks Dave. I'll install it dry, as I did with the jug gasket and oil pan gasket.
