 I think you're on track Terry, I saw a gun made from a brass wye strainer and some fittings. I've seen a sump pump moving the slurry in a bucket with a branch tee swirling the mixture keeping the grit in suspension.

Thanks Don, if you see any youtube videos etc, would you mind posting them mate? I've just bougt yet another grit blasting attachment for my pressure washer from Bangood.com because it only has a short "wand" as opposed to my other two that add another couple of feet to the already long wand on my pressure washer. May or may not be of much use in a cabinet environment, but easier to blast stuff in my driveway. ;D

 I did some pressure washing today, I kept imagining adding my sandblaster hose to the stream. I cleaned up some Honda parts and firebird stuff.

Good choice Don, the Conti's were my fave back in the day. We don't get snow and ice here, so none of the issues that Per has mentioned about slip sliding away...... ;D

That was the K112 rear summertime. Some biker friends had same experience of good grip that very suddenly lost it, not nice.
OK if it loose grip earlier as long as not that abrupt.
But that was 1979-1981. They use other rubber mixes today as all other classic tire remaker so probably better ;D

 I always did ride like the old man that I am today. My 76 Super Sport did slip the back tire on occasion until I tried the road riders. Sold it shortly after so I can't really say much about them. I will always remember one slippy manhole cover and a loose piece of tin laying in the middle of my favorite turn.

The most exciting slip I've had..., I was following a grain truck around a corner during harvest season, I knew where the potholes were and he didn't (or didn't care), he bounced a few bushels of soybeans onto the road in front of me, halfway through the turn, nice gentle lowside laydown, hardly a scratch other than the end of the brake lever and the right front foot peg. I think there are still some soybeans in the layers of my Tourmaster jacket!

   Lash I got them from JT Marks, I usually e mail for prices but this time I just ebay'd from him.  He has always come through with options for parts, Yamiya, Original, used, Honda.
  He even got me all of the seals and parts to do the water pump on my gl1000.  Turns out the oil pump is right behind the water pump turning off the same drive, so seals are critical. The weep hole can seep oil, coolant or both.

 This afternoon I was going through rims and decided to spin one while polishing it with my drill motor. It had a 30% chrome hub and some chrome left on the spokes. I noticed the spokes going to the right side are bent, and are in the rim holes aimed to the left. How does someone actually get an entire rim laced wrong, finish it and run it for years? 
  The rim is cleaning up, I might save it. The tire is pretty good for an old one so I guess he didn't get many miles after doing the chrome work.
  I also found an almost bald Bridgestone on a k1- up front hub, probably original. Who would ride a tire until it was that bald? Conclusion is, there were some Dumbfarqs around here.

 Larry Romig found some 4-4's on cmsnl. Larry said 341's were in so I looked up 1972 and there they are. I ordered 4 sets. Not on purpose, somehow I got 2 sets at once, my credit card said no and kicked it out. We talked to them on the phone cancelled it and OK'd another try but they did not reset it and the next message said 3 sets had been ordered. And no.
  We logged out, got another card out, logged back in and bought a set. Finally. I got the heat shield kit too and one more pillion bolt since I have one.  341's are better than rusty 4-2 Jardines any day. 
  I had even considered lotus root pipes from Yamiya but those all sold out too.  I need to check on my internal exhaust coating to see how much is left.
  All this with shipping, and heatshields for about the price of a bare DSS set of yamiya's.

 I have almost all of the stuff. It's the first time I didn't take a year or two to get it together. Tires, tubes, rims, exhaust, muffler trim, body set, emblems, fork seals, wheel bearings, neck bearings, wow. 
 My credit card is still locked up this morning even after calling in and OK'ing the exhaust purchase. Good thing I had another.

Don, congrats on the melted plastic and bike porn parts shipping to you soon.Just to be clear, these were 341s you bought at CMSNL.com for less than DSS is selling the Yamiya repo exhausts? Wow. You are not taking about the nice set of repro pipes that the Italian seller from ebay.

Ipicked up a nice Japan made set of 4-2 reverse cone exhaust system for my 74 550 from another member. He and I exchanged $$ for parts buying that and several parts I decided not the use and need to sell. At the time not too many options were out there for 550 exhausts other than oem which quickly disappeared and it was sketchy quality a few ran into. The Mac was about it other than maybe a Motad but their quality is so so on some of their things and Mac's are well Mac's...
He wanted something throaty and I don't mind quieter exhausts. They will get louder as you twist the wrist. :)

I wish SATO from Italy would make some omore of the fantastically gorgeous 4-2 pipes I put on "Baby" for a local rider a few years ago. They were extra-long (compared with most 4-2 pipes like its old Jardines) and went out past the rear axle about 6". They made the plugs a little whiter, indicating they were timed just right, and the sound was like a GP above 5K. I fell into them in an eBay sale when they were found in someone's storage in Italy some years ago.

 Counting the Jardines on this bike, I have 3 sets of 4-4 head pipes. One set is numbered just in case I ever find a 4-2 that I like.  I do have a 4-2 hooker on a k2, it sounded awesome on a sandcast but not as good on a bigger bore motor. That said the last trip on the sandcast went 95 mph. I might have lost some packing.

Did you find them as a set or individual pipes? I looked at their site and only saw the individual standard fiche numbers at not so wonderful prices...... Got a link?

 The Internet is an amazing thing, after I ordered from CSMNL I started seeing their ads listing every part that I have bought or searched for. Including ebay and other sites. Big brother knows what I am up to.

That's still very unanswered as it doesn't say for 4 pipes. I searched their website to try to contact them and didn't find a way to email them to ask about it and shipping costs.....makes me leary to buy.....
