 The nugget got the right side exhaust and heat shields today. It's exactly the bike I had wanted to build, The gold tank set from Mark B is perfect and I still have the original tank, headlight ears and a set of Frankenbike sidecovers. 
 For those who like to debate, it's a gold wrinkle tank L0L! Clearly not correct on a 6/70 K0 I don't mind. My next/last project bikes are going to be some seriously modified stuff.

I got two of the 4-4's on the nugget, the fight was epic, I pried, beat, twisted, and M'F'ed them something awful until I realized the footpeg hole no longer fits the proper footpeg bolt. I drilled out the footpeg hole and it went together in short order but now of course now the balance tube doesn't line up and the rubber connector fell out. The obvious pry point is the footpeg bolt holes but then you start over.
 Yamiya's no no.s are much easier. I wish DSS had some to sell me. 
   I think I'll make a metal tube to fit into the balance tubes to help keep them lined up while I put the peg bolt back in.

Does it seem like the distance to the footpeg hole (on the pipe) is too short?

My Yamiya no numbers have "stops" for pipe in the balancing holes. Holes punched or drilled.

BUT, the very open Yamiya Lotus Root pipes have no stops here, just a large hole so the pipe trick is not possible when baffle (diffusor)  is out.

Thanks for the tip: I have some of the repop pipes on mine and the 1-2 side has been really hard on the little interconnect hose(s). I got the pipes to align to the frame and above each other correctly by installing a spacer washer between the 2 of them on the 1-2 side at the footpeg, which worked on all of them from that era (2008 or so). The molds seem to have changed again for the repop ones we are seeing now, though. I'm about to embark on a resto of a K4 from the Chicago area (it's mostly rust, but with a freely turning engine) which has 1/2 of a muffler on a 4-1 set on it that will have to go.

Don and Per..... I’m not clear on what you guys are talking about. I have a new set of Yamiya “No Number pipes”, still in the box (for my s/c project). Did you guys make make a smaller pipe that fits inside the small connector pipes? Seems like a great idea when fitting new ones. The last set I fitted (I think it was the Gold K0 I sold a few years ago) fit really badly. I had to grind the mating faces of the foot peg tubes, so the ends rotated slightly when I tightened up the foot peg through bolt!

 My last set of DSS supplied Yamiya no no.'s had the little tube included. I think it's just a reminder to make sure that connection is made before tightening anything else. I go only as far on the exhaust nipple at the engine as it takes to get the peg bolt in, then check the rubber tube, then tighten things, doing the engine last. I tap gently with a rubber mallet that has several layers of towel over it.

I got the small pipes with the lotus root order from Yamiya.
I did not use them. Might be something during fitting, force them right, then remove.

Not possible to use in the Lotus root pipes when it will fall out and roll in the pipe when removing the baffle.

Look like cuts from a handlebar, 35mm long, OD 22.3 mm.

But they forgot the rubber seal on the outside. Or did that come on later models?

I do not like the Honda rubber seal with gasket paper inside anyway.
I use 2 halves cut from a 1/2" hot water/oil hose. Strapped in place with a black cable tie.

Almost like stock ;D

 Mine (no no.s) had raw steel insert tubes and I used stock rubbers over them. I went through all of the little Honda bags twice looking for the nuts for the balance tube clamps. Then I noticed they are made onto the clamps now.
  I swore I had two peg bolts and got two more with my load of parts recently. I only find three. It's odd, all of those totes of Honda parts I hauled home, 3 bikes and there's not a grab handle, bar or turn signal part.

Burning interest of keeping old bikes alive is a must beside the contacts getting these old parts.

He had many not that common parts.

Too many important good guys have left the last year.
Older we get more of it we will see.

 I'm hoping to get the nugget off the lift and ride it to the car wash for a wash of the area under the sprocket and inside the rear fender. I neglected to clean it properly. It's supposed to be in the 50's this week.

 I didn't get it off the lift, spent the day putting brakes on another bike. But I did cure the dead 1-2 cylinders by putting gas in it. The petcock bowl was a bit loose and I snugged the fuel lines up a little on the barbs.
 The 341's are for sure not as good sounding as no no.'s. My brother showed me the exhaust tip mod everybody did back in '74. This is the last day on the plate but I'm betting I can make it to the car wash tomorrow.
 Hopefully it's as nice out tomorrow as today and I can get some good pictures of it.

 It should be K0 gold, candies are a big variable though.  It got about three miles on it today, woohoo.
