I left the exhaust caps off, stored them and made a 15A blade fuse jumper that leaves the original fuse holder in place. The nugget can get some miles racked up now.

Just a thought.....
Maybe a long bore scope(tape it to a metal coat hanger wire) needs to be put in the pipes while it's running to see if maybe there might be a loose flap in that muffler/silencer, inner pipe liner, compared to the other three that is flapping to the exhaust stroke beat? (Blip the throttle a little to see some change?)

It is for sure #4 and makes the sound to the exhaust pulse.

Carb tuning helped the exhaust rattle, I think it was a lean pop, Hondaman described it as when the lean mix can't combust in the cylinder it burns in the pipe.

Good to know that air-fuel mix can cause that.
It really sounded as something rattling inside.

Agreed, I noticed Yamiya says 4-4's may be available in feb. of 23. I'd like to put these pipes on my brothers K4 and get a set of 300's for this one. It seems a few sets of pipes were delivered off of back order from various suppliers recently.

Strange that they can't keep up production of the system. Must be something really messed up somewhere.

My friend that works for Holley said aftermarket parts are made after production parts are caught up. They haven't been able to get microchips either.

The nugget blew a front tube on the conti twins today, after just a few miles and a half mile from home. It won't pump up at all so it must be a pretty nasty pinch.
The KZ did hold air this time go figure, it's tubeless.

The nugget finished #2 in the bike of the year voting. I'm honored to see that and want to thank everyone for their support. I feel like every bike that was nominated all year is special in its own way. I've owned some pretty gnarly looking bikes that still are special to me.
The race bikes, restorations and police bike all certainly took more time and energy than my bike did. I happened across a nice example of K0 and then bought an already painted tin set from a member here.  It's funny it's a gold wrinkle tank, I believe the controversy over whether there ever was an original one from Honda is the reason I got it.

And if for any reason, James' Police B.O.Y. can't fulfill its obligations as bike of the year, the runner-up will be pleased to take its place. (Miss America rules, like maybe the police bike posed nude in playboy)

The nugget came out of storage for a ride today, it was a wee bit pissy from the carbs. leaking from everywhere except the overflows. The hoses are open, so now I'm wondering about the brass overflow tubes being plugged.
After owning Yamiya no number pipes I'm not a fan of the sound of CMSNL 341 exhausts. I have two sets of Busso's ordered, if they come out better, I'll probably sell the 341's and put the Bussos on the two bikes that I want to have 4-4's.
The nugget got a new front tube, the first one got pinched when I installed it.

The nugget needs another front tube, it leaked down on the way home from the swap meet, I'll pull the tire and check the rim and inside of the tire for pointy things. All the way home it was wobbly behind semi's and when it hit a couple dips it was squirmy. On the off ramp I knew it was going down and I made it off the busy street. We traded it for another bike on the trailer and it went 100 yards and died too.
I learned Illinois won't work with a Vermont registration anymore so I'm screwed there also. If I have to go through a bonded title it is getting its ugly parts back first. It needed the 55 mile run to stretch its legs.

I see 4 into 1 has a replacement 750 caliper back that mimics the Tokiko K0 #1 and #2 calipers. I have a black #2 caliper that has a short rib back on it. Next order, I'll pick up a replacement back to broaden my K0 collection. I've been watching for K0 turn signal mounts to be in stock, stems on front and the hardware on the rear. They have front stems with a movable exterior nut, it looks original but makes it easier to level the turn signals. Good for a non-original rebuild.
The nugget got a new Metzler block C 3.25x19" tire today in case we decide the ride flat Continental is ruined.

I spent some time buffing the inside of the Nugget's front rim, it had a little rust on the beads, then I dusted it with Rustoleum rust reformer.
The tire guy said the tubes and rim strips came in for it so after I get this one repaired, I'll be able to put a good front tire on the turbo drag bike frame and the Nugget will get its tire back on.
That lets me put wire wheels on the Blue Green bike, it's like musical chairs except with tires.

I have devised a plan so you won't have to choose a favorite CB750, and simultaneously set your 2023 Halloween costume.
You need a series of side-car mounts to connect them all in parallel, and then get yourself a sleigh.
For Halloween, you can be all FOUR RIDERS of the HONDAPALYPSE!!!!

...Hondapaplyse? Say that 10 times fast...

That's a part left on in memory of the first owner. He was 120 lbs. soaking wet and was never seen without a cigarette. I may wire it back up for a phone charger some day. I also left the blue coral wax on the back side of the front turn signals.
At my buddy's estate sale that bike looked awful, it turned out everything was coated with blue coral wax or WD40 and over the years it grew a coating of garage dirt that looked like corrosion. After I decided that I could afford to keep it, I wiped off a turn signal and it was perfect under the WD/dirt mix.

My favourite is one we found on a GL1000. Mounted like yours, but it had an opening in the top end. You dropped the cigarette down the hole and pushed down on the black external ring. After about 20 seconds, it would actually ding loudly and the smoke was lit! I think they were standard equipment on 1970’s Alfa Romeo sports cars too!

Just checked EBay. These are Brico lighters and were also in Maseratis and Ferraris. Selling for hundreds of dollars! The one on the GL1000 may disappear…….
