Air Box Modifocation
« on: October 23, 2020, 12:49:25 pm »
I’m replacing the airbox on my hondamatic. The airbox I have is from an cb750f. Should I drill a hole in it to feed the tube from the idle regulator solenoid? My original thought was to drill a hole and install the grommet from my bad box.

  • It is, what it is, just looks odd with duct tape

My 77 cb750a has the original box, it just has a hole with the tube fit snuggly through it,
no grommet on mine.
I repaired mine in a couple spots from squirrel nesting.

I didn't think the air box and boots were interchangeable with the carbs
Being different diameter in mm.

I've only had it a few months though, so haven't got all
The parts interchange stuff down yet.
It was seized on one cylinder from sitting outside a few years uncovered

I have to post a head swap question in another section on it as well

It ended up fitting and working fine!
