Howdy from HSV
« on: October 25, 2020, 05:47:01 pm »
Hey there SOHC4,

I inherited my Dad's 1972 CB750K2 in metallic orange and am looking to get it freshened up and ready to ride.  The bike has 5895 original miles and was last registered in 1987, but I'm pretty sure it last moved under its own power several years before that.  It sat in a shed in Northern CA until 2017, when it moved with me to AL.  It's been in my garage since, and waiting its turn, as I fixed up my other two bikes (thanks COVID).

I've been reading a ton on the forum and have picked up Hondaman's book.  Thanks in advance for the assistance!

Welcome to the forum.  The k2 is a fantastic bike.  Good luck on the restoration and don't hesitate to ask questions like I will.  Where is HSV? I looked it up on google and came up with herpes simplex virus.

Welcome Sacto. A low mile K2! Very nice. Does the engine turn over?
My own was parked in 87 and sat for 15 years, was started twice in that time, and kicked over once in a while. It’s made almost 40000mi in recent years.

Thanks for the welcome.  HSV is the airport code for Huntsville, AL...  ;)
