hi how far apart can the frame and engine numbers be apart from each other on a 1972 cb750 k2

Frame vin and engine vin are not close on k2, here are examples -

I owned cb750-2004090 engine #2011818  That was a great bike, one of my first 750's.  I found that bike with a K1 near Cleveland.

My 72 K2 is VIN 2050*** and engine 2026*** which is 23405 apart in the UK so, i would not worry about it too much and, the lady of the house has a 1974 K2 VIN 2085*** and engine 2257***. In most parts of europe we had the K2 till 1975 with a VIN that started with 21*****  ;)
