(URG) One spring to finish my bike! Can you help me?
« on: November 24, 2020, 12:21:47 AM »
I have never been so close after 3 years restoring of finishing my bike. But there is a small problem, I took pictures of every single piece before disassemble but I forgot to take a picture of the rear brake spring, I do not have any clue of how should I put it back.
I have a 750 four F1.

Does anybody have a picture?

Cheers from France!!

The square hook hooks around the part it is pointing at, the round hook hooks around the frame...

This is the spring with brake rod many recommends to assemble before swingarm.
But I have done afterwards too.

I had old photos I could look at.
I remember it look upside down.
The brake lever shaft not fully in position and use of strong screwdriver.

His bike is a 750F1, with disc brake and the pedal and footrest fixed to an aluminium bracket, just that bit different.

Did you really try? There are only a few ways you can try to put that spring on, and only one right way...
Imagine how the parts move when you press the pedal down, and hook the spring on in the only way it will make the pedal come up again!
