Gl1000 shocks on a CB750K1
« on: November 16, 2020, 02:38:00 PM »
Looking at some slightly used Progressive shocks for my CB750K1.
The bike is lowered a bit so the 13 inch shock would work for me.
Is this a simple bolt on? Are there any advantages or disadvantages to using this shock on my bike?
Thanks!!!!

I would expect them to be a bit on the hard side, as the Wing is quite a bit heavier than the 750....

I'm of the mind that suspension is not an appropriate place to cheap out, though I ride spiritedly and have gotten back into dual sports where suspension is everything. If on a budget get Hagons and call it a day. I use Ikons on my CBs and every bike I've put them on I've been pleased. At the very least with Goldwing shocks you'll need to get appropriate springs. Valving may or may not be way off.
