CB400F airbox boots sealing question
« on: November 18, 2020, 06:02:30 PM »
I have removed my airbox and the rubber boot immediately behind all four carbs for cleaning and some paint.  After 45 years the factory sealant for the outlet boot of the airbox and the inlet rubber boot have dried up and lost any semblance of airtightness.

What is the recommended sealant to get these airtight again?  I'm sure I need to use something that won't have a negative affect on the rubber.

Thank you for your time and help.

Any contact adhesive will do the job fine. Not sure if you have Bostik over in USA but that's what we always use and have had no adverse reaction.
Trust me I'm a Nurse, I promise it won't hurt....much
