Hey everyone,
Firstly I wanted to say I'm super excited at the wealth of knowledge around here. Over in Western Canada, Coastal area - Vancouverish. I like to think I'm mechanically inclined, have always done my own work one cars and trucks - and more recently got into dirt biking, which lead to road going as well. I've got a small fleet at this point totaling of nine bikes
- I'd say it was a problem if I wasn't having such a good time. Most of the bikes have been more less complete and without modification. The most I've gotten stuck in on a bike so far was swapping out a rectifier and stator aside from the usual carb cleaning and tuning.
However I've landed a 1983 Nighthawk, 550SC; and I'm planning on breathing some new life into the machine - turning it gently into more of a bobber / scrambler style. I figured I'd begin a thread on the project, as I'd like to share my findings and the way I've stumbled through as well as garner others' input. Cheers!
