I bought a 750 that looked that bad. Later I asked the guy how bad he was hurt, he walked pretty good and had no visible scars. He said it was a red light runner ford truck that he hit in the right front wheel. He flipped over the handlebars, across the hood on his back and landed on his feet leaning against the opposite side of the truck. The worst injury was a left pinky finger that got caught in the clutch lever area and broken. He sat on the curb with his injured hand under his armpit and when the ambulance crew arrived they ran right past him looking for the guy off the bike. They expected much worse. I hope this guy faired as well.
Edit, it was a 10,000 mile 10 oil change motor but mice had lived in it and I had to press the pistons out with a 20 ton press.
