Got a crimper you like for bullet connectors?
« on: November 24, 2020, 08:14:08 AM »
I've been doing these with needle nose pliers for years. Is there a better tool?
If it's worth doing, it's worth doing twice.

The top one is what I have. Stop using regular pliers, you’re not getting a good crimp and wasting your time!

Any "open barrel" crimp tool with the right size range should do the trick. I got a pretty cheap one from Amazon that works well.

I agree with Dave about the crimper that folds the tangs and crimps them in one action.
I have done it with plyers, and also with the cheap crimpers. But this crimper works the best.

This unit from Vintage Connections.com in Albany OR works very well. They also sell connector kits. Very useful in Japanese bike restorations

Never bought from vintage connections but people on the forums like them. I use cycle terminal because he’s on the east coast and shipping to me is faster and cheaper. Essentially the same great products and cost.
