Happy Thanksgiving to all!  With a little extra time in the garage this week, I am going to prep the farm off of my CB750K2 project for painting.

My question for the experienced on this forum is about the parts that I should be sending out and how to prepare them.  It looks like the following should be sent out to be blasted/painted:
  • Frame (grommets/bearings removed)
  • Swingarm (bushings out)
  • Chain Guard
  • Triple Tree (bearings off; should I tape any of this off?)
  • Center/Kickstands (are these normally painted?)
  • Master Cylinder & Caliper (will do myself)
Is there anything else I am missing here? Any specific prep I should perform before delivering to a painter?

Last of all, can anybody recommend an experienced painter in Los Angeles for this job?

I leave neck races in to keep paint out.
Threaded rod, washers, nuts for swing arm.
If parts have rust or missing paint sandblasting first.

There are many great painters in SoCal.  These two guys have painted my bikes and done first-rate, show quality paint jobs.
