750 fuel tank mouldings/trim
« on: December 01, 2020, 12:19:19 AM »
I am wondering how these fuel tank mouldings/trims attach to the bottom edge of the fuel tank. Are they stuck on with glue etc and can you re-use them if they are taken off.
I know this has probably been asked lots of times on this forum but I can not get any joy with the search function in regards to this.
Thanks in advance.

There are welded tabs on the  bottom of the tank which you bend to  help keep the trim in place.  This is what I have on my '76 K.

Same on the earlier versions. Bending the tabs slightly out of the way and they should come off.
No glue.
