CB750 Vesrah gaskets - no pucks?
« on: December 04, 2020, 12:49:36 PM »
I got this Vesrah gasket set for my K0.

Since the cam shaft tower pucks are not included (that puzzles me) I'm thinking: what else is do I need to buy separately? Haven't opened it since K0 is not listed on the back. Wondering if I got the correct one.

No pucks in gasket sets for many years, only original Honda and have seen them in NP sets.

That Vesrah set is for the later 750  :o

Seller says it's ok to use on earlier ones too. Can anyone tell me the difference?

Thanks. I can see from your image that some part numbers are different. Could you post a close up so I can see all part numbers please? Then I'll do a comparison.
Thanks!

Here's what I've found:
4 part numbers are different in the two sets and the later set has the Cylinder stud gaskets, which the earlier doesn't.

2 O-rings have different part numbers but look to be similar size.
Cylinder Head Cover Gasket and Cylinder Head Gasket have different part numbers but I can't see if they are actually different or just have a new part number. They look similar in the images I google.

Does anyone know?
I'd be worried about oil passages in the Cylinder head gasket.

Update
Cylinder head gaskets are different

You seem to be answering your own questions  ;D  Yes, it is the head gasket that is different from the early Vesrah set to the later gasket set. You can still use the later head gasket but, you need O'rings.

In all the aftermarket gasket sets they, do not supply a lot of O'rings for the bottom end of the engine like O'rings for the bungs.
