any cheaper sources than Honda out there?? $33.00 per piston is hurting me emotionally...
I have checked the FAQ'S where to buy, and can't seem to find any alternatives...

You'll have to bite the bullet. I found some ring sets on ebay for my 750 at $80/set. Don't know if it's the case with 550s but on older 750s the oil ring is one piece. It's worth to check if three piece rings are available.

try oldbikebarn. I just bought a std ring set for a 750 K for 29 and change earlier today.

Is that for all four pistons? I just paid $80 for all four at OBB

You might try Hastings, one of the best ring manufacturers out there. They list rings for CB750, might have to call for price.
