Quick question. What are the inherent benefits of this arrangement over other 4 spring type aftermarket clutches? 🤔

 I have a similar set up on my FJ George. It allows me to run 3 soft and 3 heavy springs. That hold almost 165 HP

So in theory one can used strong enough springs in a Cb750 4 spring setup to hold lots of power.  I assume the advantage of the 6 spring set up is to allow 6 softer springs for better clutch level feel for the same holding power?

Or is it pretty much not an issue between 4 and 6 springs unlit a certain HP level is achieved?

That clutch kit has a fair price, much for the money.

I noticed a huge difference when I replaced my K6 clutch with a clutch from an F2 with its double riveted plate.
 (Outer steel basket and inner longer alu hub gripping the metal plates that differ except for the double plate.)
Much more rigid and no rattling when handle it in very low speed.

I reused the not old EBC fiber plates. The harder Barnett springs, 66lb version for the smaller CB's.

you will need the same force on the clutch plates to stop it slipping . it doesnt matter now many springs you use . the same force will mean the same clutch feel  .  maybe having more springs evens out the pressure around the plates ?
the extra plates would allow you to use lighter springs and still have the same friction though .

50% more plate load available... if you have the tire to benefit from that. I know some guys modified the GL 1000 6 spring clutch back in the day, I was told it wasn't that hard to do.

 When I ran bikes at the drags, I always slip the clutch...a  lot..
Really hard on weak clutches, but very good on saving  other components. . And better control..
 So a racing clutch has two big jobs... surviving the slipping and needing to hold once engaged.

 Myself I still have trouble understanding  guys that can get away with stock clutches at the drags, they have to be letting it out pretty quickly.

The APE FJ1200 conversion kit came with 6 stiff springs. Even with the hydraulic clutch it sucked. I contacted Barnett, they cross referenced the original springs for light pieces and everything was beautiful. I had to replace that diaphragm spring every season before that.
