Craigslist has been fairly bare for over a year now in Metro Detroit area, everything seems to be on ebay or just not for sale. Most of the titled frames Ive picked up have been in other builders storage and they know they wont get to it.
The change to charge for craigslist motorcycle ads is what tanked it, especially in the Detroit area. I've had semi-luck on Marketplace, but there's a LOT of untitled stuff out there. Michigan isn't too bad to get a title, but it's still an EXTREME pain in the a$$ especially with the COVID restrictions at the SOS.
Have that appointment next month to get a title. Hoping it was never reported stolen. Filled out that paper and printed off a fair value nada sheet for a 76
my buddy and I just registered a BMW two days ago, it wasn't bad. You can also run the vin number online for about 12 bucks and it will let you know if the bike has any debts, that way you know before you even go there.
What site lets you do that? Being over 25 years old did you have to prove the value was $2500 or less? U should join the Michigan CB facebook page.

Fees
Each title transaction requested is $11. For title histories with multiple transactions (for example, the vehicle changed owners several times), you will be charged $11 for each title transfer on record. An invoice for the balance owed will be sent to you.
A certified copy of a driving or vehicle record is available for $12.
Same-day service
Same-day service is available for customers requesting their own driving or vehicle records.
Customers needing same-day service for driving records only may visit any branch office.
Customers may obtain both driving and vehicle records at the Secretary of State Secondary Complex. Same-day service is not available for requests that require microfilm searches.
I tell them my bikes are cheap broken down lumps, as far as values I just keep prices low and i give accurate value estimations to my insurance company...not sure if that answers your question.
