I'm starting to think the days of building Nice and Cheap go in cycles of ten years or so. People's tastes change, big anniversaries like 25 & 50 raise awareness and price, but then things settle. With our recent inflation I'd say that's a fine parts haul for $200, some of those are worth $200 alone under the right circumstances.

With this market crashing we may just get some deals served up to replenish our sheds for another 10 years.

Yup, I'll need some land and a shed first. I'm working on it.

Who thinks it's a good idea to abandon the clip ons and fairing and drill the top triple and slap on some supermoto bars. I got hung up on the clip ons because the f2 front end came with them.

I'd try bolting on a top triple from a 91-03 CB750 Nighthawk first.

The risers on those trees are rubber mounted so you might need to add a ground wire to the riser stud for your switchgear. The good news is that the clamps are the same width as stock so you can bolt on your dashboard lights just like a stock triple k1 to k6.

I'm not 100% sure if the fork offset is the same I've got one I can measure when the snow melts, maybe I've got the measurement in some old notes. I've got to get to work, it may be in my K3 thread in my signature line, not sure. I'll find it when I can. The 750 Nighthawk lower triple will work if the offset is different.

I know F1 stuff is the same. I'd verify axle and brake discs are the same on a site like Partzilla.

Just a heads up, if you're thinking about using Nighthawk forks they're single disc only.

I picked up another F2 front end and rear wheel, white mags, fork tubes in good shape, no damage. I'll make the same modifications so it's bolt on ready for another 750. Drove 3 hours to Nova, Ohio and grabbed it all for $120. More trump and confederate flags than I saw in PA. The guys neighbors had both flags hanging flat on both sides of the front door, I spotted that just as my gps said I was there and I almost just drove away and back home lol...luckily it was the next house. Also, there was a 750 motor sitting in a barn for sale for a couple weeks on fb in Swinton, OH which was on my way back home....I contacted the guy and he said someone was coming to grab it just at that moment...damn good weather had everyone out buying good stuff....it was listed for 75 bucks and had some finned covers, listed as condition un-known...I should have went at the beginning of the trip.

Happy Sunday everyone.

just ran out there to see if that top NH' triple lined up, it didnt. It would have been a great bolt option though.

Oh crap, I'm sorry. There's always the Nighthawk lower tree I suppose. Same bearings but the stem is about an inch longer than stock SOHC 750.

Yup, and with the full fairings that were popular for many years these parts were often removed and tossed or lost, making them a good part to hang on to if it's in nice shape.
