Not really advising to use either, but the job is pretty much the same either way. You have to re/re the races and use new balls, or remove the races and install the roller ones and roller cage assembly.
The OEM setup is fine in my opinion, and as mentioned it often goes trouble free for decades. Failure is usually from lack of maintenance, they should be repacked every 5 or 10 years at least. And you don't have to fiddle with spacers and such, the original setup and shield are unchaged.
But if you like the roller bearing mod, which is inarguably stronger, go for it.
