Where do these stickers go on 72 750?
« on: December 18, 2020, 01:36:14 PM »
Bought a sticker set from AFE for my 72 750.  I’ve got three left that I can’t figure out where they go and if they are even for a K2.  Did a search and found no answers.  The three stickers are;

Warning: Accessories and Loading blah blah blah
Honda Motor Company LTD Made in Japan
(This one is curved) Caution Break In Maintenance Required at 600 Miles

Are these supposed to go on a 72 K2 750 and if so where?

I’ve never seen the “Made in Japan” anywhere other than the sticker sets.

The clear curved me was on some speedometers, but got quickly removed......

Not sure about th first one.

Definately broken in but I’d kile to use the sticker if it came on a K2 from the factory.

those speedometer break in stickers were never a factory add on . The dealer applied those. ....Any NOS speedometer Ive come across in the box, or seen for sale on ebay over the many years, and the one I have for a 76 550F, never has the sticker. Secondly, there is no part number for that sticker, therefore, never issued by honda as a part for the bike....I wouldn't know if the K2 had one, but if it left the dealer with one, that'd be correct.
     My 75 550F still has its sticker. So did my 76 550F I bought in 1976.....which I immediately took off and threw away.....so I know at least they had those stickers.

you could check the owners manual and see if there is a paragraph describing the break in procedure and mentions the 600 miles. I know the 550 F manual states it. If it does, i'd say you could say it's correct...

is this the accessory and loading sticker? This is located on a 1977 550 F, rear fender between the seat and the tailight bracket. I couldn't find that for a 750 K2..

No, the only stickers found on the 750K2 were:

-The 'nice rider' gas tank sticker, although the verbage on these modern ones is slightly different (I think I have a picture of an old one somewhere?).
-The rear fender sticker with the tire pressures (which are only correct for bias-ply tires, like 32/28 PSI - modern tires must be 5-7 PSI higher because of carcass construction differences).
'The "Helmet Holder" stickers on each side of the frame at the back of the seat.

At the very end of the K2, from the New Factory, some got stickers on the right side regarding the mufflers, much like the ones found on the 500/550 bikes.

Thanks Mark and all;

   Looks like I don’t need 1/2 of the stickers AFE sent me for a K2.  At the price they charged i should ask for a partial refund...yea right.
