On second thought I've got a mud room in the back stairwell, I think I'll clear it out, hang my heated plastic sheet booth there and build the engine at home where I've got WiFi and a bathroom when I need them.

 As a plumber that worked in plastic tents in Hospitals a lot, the codes made me aware of plastic sheet's fire potential. There are fire resistant types available.  Just an fyi.
