Back in the end days of Funnybike I know guys were running nitrous with the turbo. The nitrous would get you off the line hard and then the turbo would kick in. I can't even imagine what cylinder pressure was at that nitrous/50lb boost overlap period.

Oh what I would've paid to be there and see that!  :o

Thank you, it was my honor and pleasure.

Yep, the rockers have rollers on the shafts and rollers that replace the tappet screws.
Valve adjustment is made with varying thicknesses of valve stem lash caps.
The rocker arm geometry is a thing of beauty if I do say so myself.
Less than 1mm sweep across the lash caps at 11mm lift.

Just curious..?   Is your 1mm roller tip sweep centered ? Or does it favor center at max lift/spring rate ?

Very thoughtful questions. It's a big motor - may not turn too high. Mainly wanted to relieve side pressure on 5.5mm valve stems.

Actual roller tip sweep is total .9mm. Off center -.52mm fully closed. Off center +.38mm mid open. Off center +0.24mm fully opened.

Intakes are larger than 38 and the included valve angle is 7.5 degrees narrower than stock allowing a shallower chamber.

That adds up to a pretty large bore.

Chamber volume shouldn’t too large either.  Looks like about a 15 degree angle from the chamber edge. So you will have matching piston crown for a generous squish area.

So you know the rocker arm sweep heavy spring argument…
We used to argue what wore the guides out faster on push rod engines …always ended up using
the push rod length that yielded the most max lift, guides be damned..😜 but we’ll monitored..🤔

After watching Don R’s 8,000 rpm “high speed slow mo” sbc valve spring video, the whole valve train may best be accurately expressed by the Chaos theory.. 😜

😁Big intake’s for big lungs 😇 and we all like 38s  and > double Dee’s  ..😁

Starting on the geared primary drive components today.  :)

"Hope everything and everyone is well..." Everyone is quite well. Yep, BUSINESS FIRST! (dammit)

Had a little bit of a learning curve on the gear hobbing. Scrapped a couple of parts. All good now.

A pic of progress to date. The damper outers and idler gears are finished.

The damper inners need the clutch hub splines and bearing surfaces machined.
