'73 CB750 6x100 bolt location - help please
« on: December 25, 2020, 10:36:02 AM »
I can't figure out where this 6x100 bolt goes. It has a wire crimp on it and I thought it was on top of the engine, but I am not missing any bolts.  I recall taking out a couple of the long case bolts before painting, but didn't take pics as I normally do, and it should be obvious but I'm not figuring this out.  I have checked diagrams a few times and am a confounded!   Anyone know?

Also these little red reflectors came in the parts pile, but I am not sure if they are for the bike or not.

There are four 6x100 bolts, one under starter cover, three next to starter cover.
There are three 6x100 bolts in a row on bottom, one has clip for points wire.

Oooh edit, maybe I did take off a bottom one, and will check the one for points wire, it's all coming back to me.

Edit #2... yes that's the one near rhw points, now I remember taking it off because my experience those things don't like to be bent too many times and snap.  Getting old and forgetful, need to make notes and take pictures.

Frank those farkles are janked, sorry. I may JB weld when I'm really bored and put on my bike though.

Thanks to all and Merry Christmas!  Bike is running good but dammit, one of the carb overflows is dripping so I'll have to fix that.

I think there is one of them clip things to hold neutral indicator wire. So 3 spots on a 750.

The one under the starter cover had the rubber wire thingie on it until the K4, holding the oil switch's wire. Then Honda just stopped using it in there.
