I just contacted a guy who owns a shop an hour and a half away from me. I'm buying a set of +1mm pistons from him and during our conversation found that he also has a couple sets of +.75mm pistons, 7 chrome airboxes(Santee?), some extended control cables, and who knows what else. New parts left over from a dealership.

Pistons come with rings, pins and clips and cost about half what Honda charges for piston alone. Manufactured by Rocky.

Reason I'm posting here is that all I really want are the +1mm pistons I'm buying but am tempted to make the trip and see just what he has. I'm not going to brave the rain just to pick up my stuff, but if there is enough interest for his other stuff I might make the trip and make an offer on his stock.

Anyone have a current or future build that needs any of these items?

How much for a set of the 0.75 OS? Haven't priced them from Honda lately.

About $320 for a set of four pistons, rings, pins, and clips from ServiceHonda. List is about 15% more. This is pricing everything seperately. Not sure if available as a set for less $. Two places I have looked online show the .75mm piston as discontinued. I can pick them up for $140 a set(4).

I'm really just looking for an excuse to go over there and see if he has any "backroom" finds. He's not exactly sure what he has so I'd rather go have a look and meet the guy. If there is enough interest I'll call him tonight and ask if he can hold on to some stuff 'til this weekend.

Well the clouds parted long enough for me to take a ride out and see exactly what this guy had. The pistons come in a "Rocky" box and have ART stamped on the side. The rings come in a box inside stamped "Honda genuine parts" part #13501-300-014 (correct for 1.00mm over) but have the one piece oil ring instead of the three-piece that Honda now sells. He will sell them at $100 a set(4). 3 sets of .75mm over and 6 sets of 1.00mm over left.

The "breadbox" filters ended up being for Kawasaki Z1's so it's a good thing I went there instead of having him ship them. He has 4 boxes that include the carb mounting rubbers and three boxes without rubbers. $30 for a brand new chrome "breadbox" filter with carb rubbers for any guys with Z1's (see attached pic).

The cables are actually combo packs that include throttle A, throttle B, clutch, and front brake line. Manufactured by SBK and T.S.K. in Japan these appear to be OEM Honda items. The  throttle cables are 6" longer than the ones on my '76 750F but I don't have anything to compare the brake and clutch lines to since all I have are late model Supersports. PM me Cyclone and I'll get ya some measurements and pics.

No sweat. I was really hoping those airboxes would make the trip worthwhile, but no such luck.
