Refreshing another cb550. The solenoid has a red yellow male wire and a green female. The wiring harness also has a red yellow male and a black female. Is the solenoid for a different model without a clutch switch?

Just hook it up to the harness wires whatever way works. Polarity does not matter to the solenoid. Maybe it's been replaced with a different type but it will work the same.

Maybe but it will work if you connect black to green
