o'rings for cam tower
« on: January 07, 2021, 08:52:14 AM »
Hi guys.
I have found these orings that are going to fit at best the oil jet and the blind oil gallery on the cam tower (my engine is a K1).
These o'ring are 1,7 x 3,7 mm .
My doubt is in the blind seat; is a little bit larger than the oring, but the next step of the oring is complety out of the seat..
Are these oring good for their function ? thanks.

Yes, the blind hole is only to blank off the extra oil feed in the tower that makes them fit either side so most oil goes to rockers and cam

thanks for the answer. but maybe i wasn't clear in question. Is the oring fit for the blind passage or is too small ? the upper face of oring is slightly overlapping the flat plane of the head.

The parts fiche calls for a 1.7 by 3.7 mm o-ring so you are good to go. No need to overthink it, it's just a blind hole that needs to be plugged. I have the top end off my K1 at the moment and have just ordered some of those.
71 or thereabouts 750 K1 - this one should have been put down

It needs to overlap or it wont compress and seal
