Time to fix some oil leaks...
« on: January 23, 2021, 11:28:22 PM »
Hello, it’s been a while. I rebuilt my 77 Cb750 many years ago with a lot of help from reading info and getting advice on this site. The good news, my bike still runs well, the bad news it weeping oil from many places. I have ordered gaskets and oil seals and I’m prepped to pull the motor and get this thing re sealed.

I think the top end is fine, and I’d rather not pull the head if I don’t need too. My dusty old memory is telling me I can split the cases with the motor upside down, is this correct?

Yes after you remove lots of bits
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

Remember "Its always in the last place you look" COURSE IT IS YOU STOP LOOKIN THEN!
