hi im new to the forum , long story short 1978 400/4 in white, did they make one for the uk market?

I'm not sure on the UK market back then. I was a parts manager in 1976 & 1977 across the pond in New Hampshire. Here in the states only Red, Blue and Yellow were available then.
Have you contacted David Silver Spares or his Museum on your question of color?

1976 K6 Anteres Red rebuilding project, was originally my brother's that I set up from the crate, it'll breath again soon!

2008 GL1800 my daily ride and cross country runner

Prior bikes....
1972 Suzuki GT380 I had charge of it for a year in 1973 while my friend was deployed and learned to love street riding....
New CB450 K7 after my friend returned...
New CB750 K5 Planet Blue, demise by ex cousin in law at 9,000 miles...
New CB750 K6 Anteres Red, to replace the totaled K5, I sold this K6 at 45k in 1983, I had heavily modified it, many great memories on it and missed it greatly.....
1983 GL1100A, 1999 GL1500 SE, 1999 GL1500A

i have owned the bike since 1995, and have tried to change the colour on the registration document a few times to red, but always reterns as white, so since i rebuilt it a few years ago i have left it as white.
i was told the american market adopted one with a bikini type fairing around the headlight, with mag wheels calling it the honda hawk..

to me it appears odd to have a white model when all others as you say, are yellow, blue or red.

The cb400 hawk were 2 cylinder bikes.

This was a Honda dealer special built for the British market by Mocheck. The engine has a Yoshimura 460 big bore kit fitted and a Yoshimura fast road cam plus a Piper exhaust, mag wheels and a small nose fairing as standard.

I still have my CB400F bought new in '76 and remember wanting a Harrier.

That is very cool. I probably would have wanted that too seeing that.
The OP hasn't been back on since 2021 but hopefully he had set the notification button for this to show up.

Back when that Harrier was born, I was already riding the CB750 and there was a local race shop to me that were the importers of the Seeley frame kits to the states that I lusted for, but having just been newly married and bought a house decided to forgo the upgrade of my bike......
