The existing covers are beautifully chromed, with zero pitting or scratches. I think I’m going to leave this bike just the way it has been the past +45 years.

Never said that. The patch crowd - out here at least - rides dressers, not choppers. Choppers draw too much heat. And they often have things with them that mean a police stop could be very inconvenient.

Thanks Andy....i’m Glad you like it! I’ve been looking for a while. Never had one and this one really appealed to me. The fellow that built (and owned) this one +45 years ago, had a stoke two years ago. He’s recovered nicely, but can’t ride anymore. I certainly won’t be around as long as him, but will work on it!

I had a heck of a time getting it out of th trailer. We have 6-8” of blowing snow everywhere. It will be a few months before it comes out. Been sitting on it a bit. Very low, but comfortable. Bars not too high. I may change out the floor boards for the original Amen pegs.....

i was gonna suggest getting rid of those boards too, they dont look right.

 The long motormount for pegs is cut back and then rethreaded.....

Frank..... I’ll dig them out next time I’m in the shop, and post a picture. You might recognize them? They look like a stock CB750 base, but the peg itself is large, square stock, with the end in a pointed pyramid shape. Covered in a large, slip on rubber foot piece. They are completely chrome. I think they will look better and the shifter and brake pedal will be easier to operate.

Sounds like a stocker with cut rubber or different  rubber..

Frank..... right again! Looks like they are “stock” foot pegs, with some mods. There is a large, pointed end, poorly tack welded to the end of a shortened Honda peg. Every component, including the spring, is chromed! The rubber is short, but oversized. I like them and I think the foot boards will come off. What do you think?

Agreed. The other one has some peeling chrome, but I will try them. The “home made” floor boards don’t really fit the bike....

Yes! Many years ago, I got burned in a deal where the seller was NOT the owner. Didn’t cost me much, but really annoying. Since then, I do the paperwork before investing time/money in any project!
