Thanks guys! Fantastic event, perfect weather and a HUGE spectator turnout. GM brought three turbine cars from the ‘50’s Motorama Show Cars and even fired one up! Sounded like an 747 getting ready for take off…. Everything from a 1903 electric buggy to the most modern exotica. A stunning Ferrari Super America got my vote for car of the show. My wife loved an obscene 60’s BUICK station wagon that is For Sale. She took the guys name and number. Yikes! Over 120 cars and trucks, in total. More than half the field came up from the USA, cars from Newfoundland to California. The Owen Sound airport had more private jets landing over the weekend than the rest of the year.
12 spectacular Japanese bikes including a 1979 CBX and an 80’s Suzuki Katana that were absolutely perfectly restored. The Sandcast ran really well except for one hiccup when it pissed fuel all over the 18th green. Wacked #1 float bowl with a screwdriver and it behaved after that! I honestly thought I’d be lucky to make top three, but the Judges appeared to really like my faded, original body work. We took top prize! I don’t attend many shows, but this one is totally over the top. British Bikes next year, so I may take a pass……
