I think I've been lucky, I've met really nice people on Honda's, Kawasaki's, Yamaha's, Suzuki's, Triumph's, Harley's, BMW's, etc. I think that most bike guys are good people, I even know a couple of 1 percenters, and they're good guys too. I rarely see a "Road Rage" incident involving someone on a bike, although over the last 40 years or so, I have had cause to show some ignorant car drivers the error of their ways...... ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

My brother owned a Benelli dealership once, he never sold enough small bikes to get any big bikes. Too bad, I would have bought a 6 if he could have gotten one.

I have to say I think it is one of the neatest motorcycles ever manufactured. Almost every part is a sculpture. Not very practical, but stunning to look at!

Repaired the two small holes in the frame today. Rear foot peg mounts, where the rack was welded on (look closely, it was ugly). Etch primer and frame paint are next.

Per..... that’s the plan. Time will tell. I’ve got to finish the Rickman CR. I want to play a bit with my “new” chopper, and this bike! Not in any rush, want to get it right.

Here is another one if anybody is looking.  A few cosmetic issues, should buff right out. I am still looking for another project but this is tad out of my price range.....

early oil filter, double cut fender, long chain guard, cloth oil lines...seems like there is a lot original stuff on this one. $12k worth?

I see a few incorrect parts, worst maybe being the head? Headlight ears, grab handle, side cover, I didn't see the chain area.  For sure early enough to be worth something.

Wow, a very early sandy, but 12K in that condition? That's a lotta dough for a pile like that, especially with a "stuck" engine........... ;D

Possible to restore it for $15000US in parts, paint, cylinder and head work? Everything else less than slaves gets since they get room, food and clothes. We bike restorers work for free! ;D

I guess it can cost more.
Lotus Root pipes cost some when available. NOS HM300 double that!

If no rust at all, another thing.

I got a little excited buying parts this week for the late K0 and did some quick math. I'm still right side up but a total resto isn't happening.

I'm doing a basket case K3 and starting o get nervous about the escalating cost. I can't imagine doing a full correct restoration on a sandcast. I have an early sandcast motor and 2 people have offered me in trade a high number sandcast bike. Some deep pockets out there. Cliff.
