For sure! The “list” is still long enough, I haven’t made one. No schedule, just enjoying each step. I’ve got the K1 and K3 to ride, so this one is just to have fun with. Will start pulling the top end of the motor next week. It’s back to snowing and very cold here, so taking a weekend off.

The Rickman CR is sitting off to one side and I also have a very nice cb750K6 waiting for a freshened motor to go back in. My fully restored K0, K7 and K8 are covered up and stashed away at the back of the shop.....  last year I sold my cb750K4 and the ‘75 cb750F. I picked up most of these bikes when they were worth almost nothing, so may blow out a few more this year.

The “Cobble Beach Concours” Motorcycle Class for 2022 is “Italian Bikes”, so the Benelli 750 SEI will be getting some overdue attention this summer, before that event. I’m not really a show guy, but we had so much fun at the last one (2019, last two were Covid Canceled), that we are definitely going back!

Looking more like it’s original self. Once I build up a clean set of rear foot pegs, the “roller” is done.

Did the early oil tanks have a sticker?

This bike had been “updated” to a finned oil filter housing when I picked it up. A very nice replica of what was originally on the engine arrived today, from Germany. Last one!

The sticker goes on the sidecover.  I think the 69 and 70 bikes had the silver sticker outlined in black.  Yours is the reverse black sticker outlined in silver which came on the 71-76 bikes.  Double check with the Sandcast gurus.  I have a silver sticker outlined in black from Yamiya.  I would be happy to trade with you if your interested.

Scott..... apparently the early bikes did not have the “US pints” part! Having said that, the decal you have would be correct for my early ‘70 KO. Will send PM. Thanks!

More to go. Every time I think I’m done with the black paint, a few more pieces turn up!

Yesterday was a “Milestone “. Finished up the rear foot pegs, polished up the last set of engine bolts, mirrors and new side cover grommets. The “roller” is pretty much complete. Bike gets covered up and the engine top end refresh is next.

I’m looking for this decal. Anyone seen this version for sale? Note it shows (6.0pt) not the (7.4 USpt)

Steve.... I hope so. Going to slow up a bit now. Our endurance racing starts in two weeks, and messing around the farm gets busy too. Planning more riding time than shop time for the next 8 months!

First race weekend has gone by (we finished the Sunday 8 hour enduro, 2nd in GT2 Class). Back on the S/C, Pulled the head, Cam and all the rest of the top end looks original and perfect!

Started building a small “lifting frame”, to jack the bores away from the block (stuck down tight). I don’t want to damage any fins (there are a few already). Weird device, but might work. If so, pics to follow.

I’ll be interested to see the pics John, I love cool home built tools! ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

I've used wood shims pointed opposite each other, so they get thicker evenly as they go together. Snug a little in the lifting areas and leave for a day.
Or, you could pretend you wanted the cylinder to stay put and it will fall off.
No matter how many times you paint over a shadow, it's still there.

Celebrated selling the 1970 K0 and ordered a new, red air box and intake boots from Yamiya. The two hole mounting kit and “red foam” seat are OS or the order would have been bigger!

Time to get back on this project!
