Yep, sounds like bullsh1t to me Frank, if the parts manual has a pic of a centre stand with the brace, and the only other pic is the owners manual with an obvious "pre-production" model, sans brace. I've decided that most "Experts" are full of sh1t.......... ;D   
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

 Mine all have the brace, 5511, 14100, 36??? I have a K0 stand on a K2 that was narrowed for a hooker header, it  also has the brace.

Yep, looking at that page from the Honda parts manual, there’s only one pic, and one part number. All other changes are listed as “from engine number XXX” with a picture of the different part (the original sandcast gear shift mechanism, for instance) but not the stand. One pic, one part number, no changes listed. ;D

Most but not all changes are noted..
 I tried to add screenshot, but i can  not post images right now.
 That is why I included the note from the sandcast  site, it says...no known part number change.
 And it is not the only piece..

 All that aside, you can probably tell if its an early one , by the welds on it... they look different than later welds..

Thanks Per, I just did the "Buy it now" to add to my collection of Honda manuals. The "K0" did exist officially according to one book I have here, but only referred to the "Transition Model" that came out in mid 1970 which had some K1 parts fitted in the factory, such as K1 gauges, K1 carbs, etc etc.

Marcel (CB750gaugefaces.com) was a member here and he bought one a few years before he started his business, we all thought he had the wrong gauges (even though he bought the bike from the original owner who swore the K1 gauges were on it from new) but we convinced him they weren't right, so he restored some earlier CB750K gauges and restored them, and hey presto! His business started. I should remind him that I inadvertently was responsible for his business next time I have him restore some gauges so I get a fat discount....... ;D

I have a green  one like that, i think aound 6th month of 70.
 If it was a 69 one it wont show gold paint introduction, and a lot of parts change on KO at 26 ***

 I think it might be oil lines, that it does not mention the black ones or when they stopped using them... I thing 300 or less bikes had them..

Use one of the copies.

My search for an older manual was initiated by Terry's 1974 Parts manual. It must be earlier manual out there. I found up to K1, new printed manual from vintagecb750 and finally this one from April 1969.

I saw the manual was sold in New Zeeland so my thought when I saw it was perfect for Terry. Just around his corner.

Terry can hopefully trade copies to people in need ;D

Per..... I’m sure the “braced stand” on #1250 is original. It’s going back on!

It is strange if it is not the  original when it was mounted on the bike.
The stand can go off with 4-4 when changing to 4-1.

Interesting detail anyway. Side stands have looked different too for CB750.

What dothe welds look like... i know on rear footpegs, they had welds you never saw the likes of on 72 or later bikes..

Some brutal welds. I picked off some really sharp splatter, but otherwise  left them alone.
