Yes John it is by American Honda, but has no mention of other markets.

Same situation exists with the 74 CB550K . Referred to as K0 someplaces but not all. CMSNL does not use the K0 designation when you look up the model bike.

Spokes arrived today. Rims are out being plated. Cleaned up the front hub and the bearings are so smooth I’m going with “the originals”. Going to give the outside edges a light polish and be ready for “wheel building”. Not planning to work on it this summer, but no harm in a front wheel and centre stand so it’s up on a table, ready for Winter.....

 My passenger pegs are always reaching out to get my attention. I got two sets of rubbers but needed three. I put the first ones on the gold bike and they now stay up nicely. I previously lubed them and added an o ring to shim the rubber but it was a short term fix.

Don..... when I completed my ‘70 K0, I bought a complete set of new rear foot pegs and the locating bolts, washers and nuts from “JTMarks”. They were perfect and original Honda parts. Not cheap, but the complete solution......

 That's for sure. JT got me a red seat foam and a few other parts. He offered used, reproduction, or new old stock. His repro stuff is good quality. He gets Yamiya stuff to me for way less shipping. My local (30 mi) mom and pop shop gets me Honda parts when Honda has them. They are buying at a motorsports dealer so can't really compete money wise but I still buy there when it makes sense.

I buy a lot of OEM parts from "Everett Motorsports" but they're really good price-wise and seem to be able to get just about anything. Definitely my favourite US Honda dealer.

South Sound Honda of Olympia Washington gets my business for bigger orders. Small orders Musselman Honda of Tucson gets the business.

I also use a local Honda dealership as often as possible. The two brothers that own the place have been in business for +50 years and even if it’s a few dollars more, they get mine!

Got a call from “Cambridge Chrome” today. My rims, both fenders and speedo/tach backing plates are done and coming back..... no comment on the price, but they look great in th photos they sent!

Yep, Kev in NZ said he paid $2200 ($NZ, I presume, which would be close to $CAD, I'd reckon) on the chrome for his latest CB55 build, no wonder I don't do full restorations, I couldn't afford to!

Terry..... I put the chrome through the “phosphoric bath” and it actually looked good. But, for this early S/C I figure “what the heck”. Go for it.

Chrome rims, fenders, and instrument back plates arrived and I opened them up today. Kudos to “Cambridge Custom Chrome”! Spectacular results and no disappointments. Almost “too good”. I’ll post pics next time. I may have to polish up the front hub and build a shiny new wheel!

Did you see the guy on FB that found a "Barn Find" Sandcast with super low numbers John? In the 200's, from memory? Bloody hell, and from what I can gather, he got it for cheap too. As much as I love living in Oz, we don't have any barns like that here..........

I had quotes from three shops in Ontario and one in Quebec. Cambridge was the most reasonable but both rims, both fenders, and the two small chrome plates under the tach and speedo came to about Cdn. $1600 + taxes and courier!!! I could have bought new for far less, but these parts are unique to the sand cast and I’m trying to refurbish and reuse every single bit.

Throw in over another $1000 for exhaust and 800-1500 to rebuild a decent motor and you start looking at real money and understand why prices are what they are...

Insure it for more than you think it is worth,as your valuation is likely low, given what nice ones are going for...last thing you would want is a fire or other catastrophic event to leave you with nothing, virtually speaking.  Glad you have it and are making it nice...

a new repop front double cut fender is about 2000 cdn from yamiya,a buddy bought 2,so you did not do so bad
