^Good question, I assume it is because we want the best possible outcome  ;D

True…. But I’ll be taking a break after this one!

Yeah John, you say that now but your decision may change after your first snowfall!

Good point…. The Rickman CR750 needs to get finished!

Took a break today. Worked on the neglected K3 and installed “shop AC”. Hopefully the carb bodies will be ready for pick up tomorrow. I want to hear this project run again soon!

DHL hit me up for extra “tax, duty and brokerage”. I will never tell what these worked out to in total! This is why I try to only deal with vendors that use USPost.

Stalled out, waiting for carb bodies from vapour blaster and Yamiya seat cover kit. Repaired, polished  and waxed side covers with NOS badges. Tool kit is done and sitting in the freshly painted tray. Dismantled the original fuel petcock and compared it to several others I have. Much different casting than even my K1, so will need to restore and reuse…….

Zinc plating tool kit could bring them up nicely...just need a friend who has home plating or pick up that capability yourself this winter... Bead blaster would prep many parts as the prep before plating

Thanks! No news on the tank, trying not to pester everybody, but I will be on the phone Monday am!

I have my own plating set up but for carbs and petcock I really just want a clean, original finish. I did watch a video on building my own vapour blaster and that may become a winter project!

I meant for the tools, not carbs...sorry I was not clear.

Understood. The tools polished up well enough. They’re staying “original”.

Just picked these up. They look great. Ultrasonic tank is next and then I get to “rebuild” them again!

Put two carbs through my small altrasonic, blew them clean and assembled. Was thinking of polishing the tops and float bowls but looking at them now, I think they looks just right. Probably close to the day they were new.

Got distracted by the “new to me” American Landmaster LM650. Like Sean’s (Belfast to Belfast Lone Rider) cb750 it was starving after longer wide open runs. Check my other posts for what I found….. or “how I spent my afternoon”.

Hi John
Looking good
Vapor blaster  ;D ;D ;D
Home made best tool I have in the garage
Can't be with out it
Made mine out of a Princess auto blasting cabinet (assembled with silicone sealer)no leaks
Sump pump and plastic tub with glass and blasting nozzle. Pumping the slurry up in the nozzle and using 40-60 PSI air pressure (number #3 or #5 glass )
This has been a life saver
I installed a hour meter when It was build and there is 28.6 hours on it at this time
Most used tool in the Garage
cleans every thing with out any worries of ruining the finish

Carbs remind me about my K6 carbs I cleaned with plastic blast media,  fine small particles.

Found the  small blaster cabinet at my job and started to think what to put inside it ;D

This was first half of the 80's when it was OK to bring own things to my job to work on as long as it did not interfere with the job. Coffee brakes, lunch and after work OK

How long before you load it on the trailer for the show? How many weekends you going to be out racing before then?

5 weeks to Cobble Beach. A long break to next race, right after show.
