That's great news John! Glad it is running well and no issues and you are ready for the trip to the show! Best of luck and hope you and your wife have fun and you bring home a trophy for the hard work and expenses on this bike ....

John .. .. You'll do well this weekend.  I really enjoy your builds!

Thanks! I’m not a show goer, but this event is very cool. Really looking forward to it and it looks like the weather will be cooperating too. Last time I took one of my Hondas, I did well. The original finish on this one may not add any points, but I like it.

16! No plate, no insurance. If I get it appraised accurately, the Ontario road insurance will be ridiculous. Fortunately I have a 1971 red Honda cb750 so they traded places (plates) for yesterday morning. As long as it sits in my shop it’s covered by my “contents” insurance…… will decide what to do next spring?

Thanks! I agree, I like it just the way it is. One thing I’d like to change:

When I restored my 1970 cb750K0 a few years ago, I had an NOS pair of “black top” rear shocks. They had the original three position pre load adjusters. The ones on this bike are newer reproductions and they have five clicks….. I do wish I’d kept those shocks!

Anybody have a set?

Original paint on the tank and side covers must add a value.
Oil, filters and tires are changed, though ;D

Grips, brake hoses, foot rubbers, spokes, exhaust, seat cover and foam…. I still think I’ve managed +90% original.

Does anyone know if the Yamiya replica “black top” shocks are 3 or 5 positions on the preload clicker? In the pictures it looks like the originals: 3.

The ones I got from Z1 Parts were 5 positions. Otherwise, they're pretty good, they have 7 coils exposed on the springs like original K0. My old 3 position adjusters weren't nice enough to try a swap.

Don….. That’s what I have too. I sent Yamiya a note, asking about their’s. I pulled the old ones apart, but they too are a bit far gone…..
