Sold for USD $40,500

Not surprised. That “Vic World” sticker adds to the desirability.

Didn't they have a couple feeler gauge blade sizes in the kit?

Don….. Got me thinking. I have an ancient 1969 owner’s manual. I think there is a tool list. Will have a look!

Congratulations, well deserved.
Hopefully the Vic World bike will be ridden and cared for but I bet it will be displayed in some collection.

That picture reminds me: I actually took apart my old SuperHawk with that toolkit: the "tee" extension for the #3 JIS crosspoint screwdriver bit actually broke loose the side covers on the engine! It rounded out in that use, though, wasn't very hard?

The K1 has new tires, headlamp, side covers, badges, and tank (“brand new used”). It joins the other finished project! Next up: Rickman CR750!

Been trading emails with Steven Vanzetto in Ausltralia. He’s the fellow that came up with the correct “recessed ignition switch” that I was missing for this project. He was curious about some engine case casting numbers on this early motor. Turns out it they were made on April 18th, 1969. Twelve days before my 16th Birthday! Cool.

Had to ad this into this thread: “JP” stopped by today with the 1970 cb750 I restored a few years ago. He’s kept it absolutely immaculate and put +3,000 miles on it. Needs a few minor things and the front brake is sticking hard. I usually don’t work on other peoples bikes, but this is an easy exception!

Cool to have them back together again, 1969 “Sandcast”, 1970 “KO”, and my trusty “K1”. Neato! The first two have both won “Best in Show” at the Cobble Beach Concours! The K1 wins “My Favourite Ride” every time I use it……

Thanks guys! I spent 1/2 an afternoon last year prepping the S/C for “winter” so not likely to fire it up any time soon!
