I've been trying to get my fellow forum members to join me out there but I haven't had much luck. I know someone has a desire and a bike. All you need to do is show up.

I'm leaning towards racing a 750, The drag car always took too much of this old Dad's $$.  Chasing a Super Comp championship and then two sets of defective CFE heads have kept my racing budget spent.
I didn't think aluminum heads cracked until mine did, turns out there was porosity in the castings.

Mark, you only need a SOHC CB if you want to compete in the Super Eliminator class like Frank and Bill do, the rules can be seen above in the sticky section.
I hope you and Lynda are well and staying safe.

Mark. We just need racers to show up. CB or not, doesn't matter.  I was only hoping we could get more CB's to show up as a group for solidarity sake.

Nope, just Q16 race gas, they were just poor quality castings. The left front and right rear of every set had porous metal. As soon as I had a problem I googled those heads and found lots of single heads for sale, too bad nothing to match my porting. The manufacturer (CFE) admitted the company (Canfield) that cast the bare heads went broke over it, he said they were sending back more than they kept. The guy that attempted to do the weld repair on them told me a vent in the mold would have cured it.  He said he welded dozens if not hundreds of them. Mine lasted unusually long.  Next I allowed them to make me a new set at regular price so I could re-use my valvetrain. It didn't fit due to being taller under the rockers.  There were no shaft rockers that did except a set for AFR could be modified to work.
