Which clutch basket is better

I have 2 baskets. One is the old 550 version and the other is the updated version with the double steel plate and the 1 friction plate with the bigger tabs.
Is one better than the other? Or about the same.?

I though all 550 had the same top plate but not necessarily the double steel, could the other one be a 500?

Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

Double steel plate was an upgrade on CB750 so it might be so for other bikes too.
Maybe more needed when engine is modified for more power. Otherwise a design to reduce rattling noise.
