Topic: cb650 cam part number?

What is the part number of the 650 cam needed to swap into a 550? Wanna make sure i have the right one over winging it and damaging my engine. Thanks

 Any '79-82 SOHC CB650 cam will work. There was a lower performance European version, but it would be extremely rare to find one of those.

Thank you. I see some mention of some material needing to be removed from the head? And then in other threads I see where they say they just dropped right in and set valve clearance.

 You have to test fit. I've had some heads need minor clearancing and others none at all.

Hopefully I'll be lucky with that. Gotta find a 650 tach drive and tach now
