re jetting 1975 cb550 four carbs
« on: June 11, 2005, 07:10:32 PM »
I am in dire need to re-jet my carbs!!!!!!!  I have UNI pods and drag pipes (no baffles) tons of air passing and not enough gas!!!!!  Sounds simple, right?  Well I can not find ANYONE who can provide me with bigger jets.  I know that they are very rare, but can ANYONE help me out with anything?!?!?!? Please!?! PS I need push in , not screw in.pps.  would raising the jet needle up a couple notches help out a bit?

Hi Pod,welcome to the forum.
I can't help with your jetting problem, but there are people who will be able to help if you are patient.
If you don't get lucky you can always get a set of jet drills and drill your own.
You just start with the next size up then try them, and keep going till it runs sweet.
Good luck

Kool, Thanx Sam.  Well,i've been given that option thrown at me and the more I look for the right answer the more that drilling is becoming more of a reality.  So,  i'd like to be prepared for this occasion for my bike or a friends,  how exactly should I go about this ??I'm not too thriled on performing this type of percise operation, so any info and or tricks for this operation would be of great help!!!!  Thank You Very Much!!! -Pod-

Hey Thanx, But i've tried that.  It's a pretty vague site so I could possibly be overlooking an area due to a key searching word.  Though, I did send an e-mail but probably wont hear nothing till the next week.  Any other ideas?  Thank you -Pod-
