« on: February 21, 2021, 03:21:38 PM »
Hi folks , I`m restoring a 1975 K1 CB550 imported from states , with no headlamp fitted . There are lots of different types on ebay / internet , but which is the correct one fitted for that year ( HM-20 ?) . Thank you for any information you may give .

You would be better asking on the uk forum but for info all the headlamp assemblies(inc the shell) 500&550 1971 to 1976 are the same, the US had a sealed beam the UK had a seperate bulb reflector and dont forget any dip was the opposite way

You can consult the various CB550 Parts Lists to learn the differences between the countries of destination. They're all here: http://www.honda4fun.com/materiale-documentazione-tecnica/parts-list/parts-list-cb550

I converted my last 400F to the euro headlight with the parking lamp, that requires the matching right control (DSS) to get the switch dialed in. I used a Marchal Headlight from Yamiya.
When I was searching I found many opposite side (from US)  british style lenses.
