I thought the last post i was responding to somthing Britman said about all the guys being 70years old ... ..l and someone said something avout onky riding 10 miles ? Dont know where I got that from ?

Correct.... I have not gone far on it. Insurance quotes prevented any serious distance and after a short haul yesterday I loaded it in my trailer. Waiting for a call from TFX Transportation, the bike is off to Indianapolis! I now have a nice budget for the s/c. Sorry to see it go, reality bites.

Off to Indiana..... Covid has slowed the shipping process, but the folks I met at TFX International today were totally knowledgeable and very respectful of the bike. New owner will be enjoying it in a few days....... moving ahead.

that thing was back up for sale almost immediately, been watching the listing for a while now. Im guessing the wife saw it in the garage and kicked it right out.

Strange. The gentleman had a decent size collection of choppers. Was it in Bedford, Indiana?

I dont recall which city it sat in but the listing for it had pictures of it in a bike shop display room for months....i stopped checking on it recently.

I traded a PM with “Chiefum”. He did pick it up from Bedford, Ind., and the guy that bought it from me. It does look like it was “ridden hard and put away wet”!

He’s going to keep adding to this thread when he gets to work on it. Very cool!

Currently ordering parts, I have some gaskets, seals, sprockets, chain, tires, inner tubes, and some other miscellaneous parts. Work has been too busy, which sucks, because we're having a stretch of warm weather.

I'm not sure what the seller's reason was for selling. It was sold on consignment at a motorcycle shop in Indiana.

One of the bikes oil leaks was coming from the shifter/kickstand area. I ordered new a new chain and sprockets and found this front sprocket, I've ordered stock replacement parts and I'll swap them out. I pulled the front sprocket off and it looks like it's missing the rubber orifice altogether. What are people doing to eliminate the chain oiler? I'll have to come up with something.

You sure it’s not still in the shaft, bottom of the bore hole? Screwing all the way in usually shuts it off.

I'll double check tonight, I've never seen one before and looking at pics online, I thought it was missing. When I looked in the shaft hole, something is in there that almost looks like a screen or similar to the material in a sintered fuel filter.

Looking at your picture, the rubber is gone. It should be between the end washer and the bottom face of the big screw. As you back out the little screw, the rubber swells and plugs the bore. I’d look for a tap washer that fits? Or order the part......

I was able to find the assembly for sale online and it came with the rubber orifice in good condition. I couldn't find that rubber orifice for sale individually any where.
